High Roller Action on Tuesday with Discounts!

Starting at 4 PM, the High Rollers swing into action for nine levels of Day 1 play. Entries are open until the start of Level 12, on Day 2, so the entry desk will be open for the entirety of Day 1 play.
There’s a bit of a twist on this one when players buy in — early birds who buy into the action before the start of play on either day will get a $100 discount on the registration fee, for a discounted buy-in of $1,900. The full price is in effect as long as cards are in the air, and players taking advantage of the discounted early bird special should be aware their stack will be in play from the first hand of the day, whether they are in their seats or not.
This would normally be where I’d say “this game won’t get much coverage …” but since this is the High Roller, I’m calling up my second string, Alek Gillies, to cover the HR action from start to end.

Event 9: $2,000 High Roller Day 1 ($1,800 + $200/$100 for early entries) Date: May 20/21, 4 PM/1 PM Blinds: 40 Minutes Starting Stack: 40k Late Entry: Two Levels into Day 2 (~2:35 PM on Day 2) Day 1 Ends: 9 Levels (~10:30 PM) Day 1 of the High Roller is in the books with 14 entries and $23,940 in prizes so far. The discounted reg-fee is back in play until the start of play on Day 2, so I expect a few players to take advantage of that to buy in for more than 25 big blinds on Day 2.
The action gets underway at 1 PM, and the discounted rate is only available until cards go in the air. Players can still enter for the first two levels of Day 2, however, at the full price of $2k.
Alek Gillies will be on the floor with this game as his main focus all day.
