Jeff Clarke Defeats Shane Hall Heads Up

Jeff Clarke, Winner of Deepstack Hyper
Shane Hall, runner up in Deepstack Hyper Event #10 was the main game today, and as expected, the structure of this one didn’t allow me to watch any of it. Jeff Clarke and Shane Hall played a relatively short heads-up match. They started pretty close in stacks, but Clarke had led the way for most of the final table.
This was Clark’s first PPT trophy, though technically, he gave one up last year in Event #9 at the Tournament of Champions. He won that event, but his heads-up opponent, Jody Ashton, had travelled in from Ontario, and he really wanted to take a trophy home, so Clarke made a deal to take the win, but let Ashton pack up the crystal.
This time, Clarke kept the trophy and won the game outright for his second live win.

Clarke Leads Final Six
Level: 21 (10000/20000/20000) Entries: 6/67 Prizes: $17,186 I’m still watching the money round of EVent #10 most closely, so I don’t have a good handle on all the chips in this one, but it looks like Jeff Clarke is the clear leader with more than a million in front of him.

12 Remain
Level: 18 (5000/10000/10000) Entries: 12/67 Prizes: $17,186 They are down to 12 left in the Deepstack Hyper, and as I expected, it looks like this will finish before Event #10 does. They still need to lose five more players here before they are in the money, and I’ll be sure to get the results updated, but I’m not sure how much action I’ll catch here before the end of the game.

Two-Card Deepstack Hyper is the Second Game for Wed

Event #11: $300 NLH Deepstack Hyper ($270 + $30)
Date: Sep 24, 5 PM Blinds: 15 Minutes Starting Stack: 40k Late Entry: 11 Levels (~8:15 PM) Day 1 Ends: One-Day Event The side game on Wednesday is the Deepstack Hyper NLH. For $300, players get 40k in chips to start, but blinds will be lightning fast at 15 minutes.
They’ll have 11 levels to enter or rebuy, with the desk set to close at the start of Level 12, around 8:15 PM tonight. I’m not sure how much coverage this game will get as it will likely finish before Event #10 does, given the speed of the blinds, but I’ll do my best to get the results and a winner’s photo up.

Dae Kim Wins Event #11: $300 Deepstack Turbo In July, this game got 106 entries for prizes of $27,189. Dae Kim powered through to take down the trophy after a three-way chop that included Ali Razzaq and Faton Bislimi. They agreed to an ICM chop based on chips, which gave Razzaq the most money, while Kim took the trophy and the official win.
