Bernice McLennan Wins Event #8 for $4,565

Bernice McLennan, winner of Event #8
Adam Bishop, runner-up in Event #8 It was a pretty wild heads-up that saw a lot of action. Despite the deep stacks, runner-up Adam Bishop was betting big and often, while McLennan played a cagier game, waiting for the spot.
She found it when Bishop raised her limp to 50k, then bet 100k on the 6♥7♠9♠ flop. On the K♠ turn, he bet 200k, then snap-called when McLennan shoved. Bishop had king-six for two pair, but McLennan was on the spade flush with eight-deuce. The A♥ river bricked for Bishop to boat, and it was all over.
Bishop won $4k after the deal, while McLennan got the extra juice for $4,565.

Small NLH on the Side for Monday

Event #8: $230 NLH ($200 + $30)
Date: Sep 22, 6 PM Blinds: 20 Minutes Starting Stack: 20k Late Entry: 9 Levels (~9:15 PM) Day 1 Ends: One-Day Event The smaller-stakes players will be interested in the Monday night side game, as it’s the cheapest trophy event (excluding the Team) of the series. For $230, players get 20k in chips for 20-minute levels until a winner is decided.
There will be nine levels of late entry, ending at about 9:15 PM. From there, they’ll play until one player has all the chips.

My main focus on Monday will be the 6-Max until it bags, but I’ll be around for the endgame of this one, and I should be able to update numbers throughout the day.
