It’s time to kick off the 3rd edition of the 2025 Pure Poker Tour. The festivities begin at Pure Casino Edmonton on July 17, and as always on the PPT, the 50+ crowd kicks off the action in Event #1: $340 Seniors First 50+.
Cards go in the air at noon, and players will sit down with 25k in chips for 30-minute levels. There are 8 levels of reentry, with the desk shutting down at the end of the dinner break around 5 PM.
In May, during the last PPT across town at Pure Casino Yellowhead, John Donnelly powered through the seniors field for a 3rd PPT trophy, but as always, he’ll have competition from some of the other past winners and perennial deep runners like Brett Worton, Brian Wells, Rob Lothian, and Gerald Chung, to name a few.
I’ll be at the felt trying to capture my first PPT trophy in this one while my very competent assistant, Alek Gillies, works the keyboard and camera for reporting
