Devon Jacobs had to come from behind tonight against DJ Sharma to take the win. He started heads up at a disadvantage, but a big cooler shifted the momentum. Sharma shoved with ace-ten with a slight lead, but ran into ace-queen for Jacobs. The queen played and Sharma was down to less than 200k.
That didn’t make it any easier for Jacobs though. Sharma switched up his game and started shoving nearly every hand, putting Jacobs on his heels, forcing him to fold after raises and calls multiple times. Sharma had nearly gotten back to even when his shove strategy failed for him.
Jacobs woke up with king-queen, and called off. Sharma was live with six-four, but the Jacobs held the day for the win, taking his first PPT trophy and denying Sharma his second.
