DJ Sharma came one player away from his second PPT trophy tonight, but unfortunately, Sharma Time wasn’t to be in this one. He ended up heads up against Devon Jacobs, and started heads up with the chip lead. The pair found a cooler, however, and Sharma was on the wrong end of it when his ace-ten was capped by ace-queen.

That left him on fumes, but he put on a hell of a comeback effort. He switched up his game and started shoving nearly every hand, and managed to chip back up to close to even after several raise-folds or call-folds from Jacobs. That’s a great strategy heads up … right up until it’s not. After several pots to Sharma with preflop shoves, Jacobs woke up with a caller. Sharma was live with six-four against king-queen, but a king on the board sealed his fate tonight. Jacobs was still the leader, and Sharma had to settle for second.
