Malm battled back finding multiple doubles to bring the tournament to a near 1:1 chip deficit. However, Myers found a call with king-jack against Malm’s pocket sixes. The king on the flop gave him the edge, and Malm couldn’t improve to finish as the runner-up.
Myers flew through the tournament finding a top stack for the majority of the tournament. He continued his aggressive style to add to his stack, and found key jams in major spots to force his opponents to fold. Kris Steinbach and Malm both found eliminations to bring the field to three-handed, with Steinbach holding the chip lead.
Malm found a double leaving Myers as the short stack, but he wouldn’t maintain the position for long. A quick double put him back in the race, and he doubled twice through Steinbach to send him to the rail. Heads-up looked to be a short affair but Malm picked spots carefully and found mutliple doubles. However, it was short lived, as Myers found his first trophy and ended his streak of podium finishes.
