John Phan raised to 30k early, and DJ Sharma called from the big blind. Sharma check-called for 30k on the Q♠5♦9♠ flop, then led for 66k on the 6♦ turn. Phan came over the top with a shove that covered Sharma, and Sharma hit the tank.
“Can you really beat two pair?” Sharma asked. He finally mucked, showing nine-five for bottom two. Phan showed queen-nine for top two and a hand that would have sent Sharma to the rail with a call.
