Beer Poker Tour London Day 2 Wraps

The Beer Poker Tour at Genting Stratford continued on Wednesday 11th June, with two further starting days of the poker.pro sponsored £150 4/5/6 Card Pot Limit Omaha completing. There was also another side event, the £100 Beer KO, which was as expected, quite a lively one. Will ‘9-high like a boss’ Kassouf made another appearance, in the Beer KO, creating a few memorable moments, although some of his opponents might wish to forget them.

Dillan Patel Bags Biggest Stack from Day 1b

The second flight of the poker.pro sponsored £150 4/5/6 Card Pot Limit Omaha had a further 38 entries, several of which were made by Jac Arama, but he wasn’t able to spin any of these into a Day 2 stack. Just six players made it through the day, with Dillon Patel bagging the largest stack of the flight (803,500). Gaurav Kumar posted the second biggest(453,500).

Day 1c Breaks Venue Record for a PLO Event

The third starting day overlapped with the second, reaching a total of 37 entries, which brings the total entries in the event up to 137. With still a turbo flight to go, it has already achieved the distinction of being the largest PLO field ever at Genting Stratford (including when it was called Aspers).

Habibur Rahman’s 764,000 was by far the biggest of the six who made it to the end of the day. There are now 21 players who have made into Day 2, but Jason Glatzer is not yet one of them. He had intended to fire another bullet today, but decided to delay his next attempt until the final turbo flight on Thursday.

Beer KO News

The NLH side event was the £100 Beer KO, a regular vanilla NLH tournament, but with added prizes of beer vouchers for every KO. Jason decided that this would be the one he would play. He started well, boosting his 30k starting stack to over 130k within the first few levels, but somehow not managing to earn a KO.

Shortly before the first break, Will Kassouf joined the tournament and although he only increased the tally of entries by one, he doubled the volume level. He got busy early and built quite a big stack, but when you play almost every hand, things can go wrong.

Will Kassouf

Later in the tournament, still without a KO, Jason was moved to Will’s table and it was not long before they found themselves all-in. The full details of the hand can be read on Wednesday’s blog coverage, resulting in Kassouf being almost felted. Jason then claimed his bounty by taking him out, but not long afterward, he also found the rail and neither of them cashed, other than securing a few free beers.

John Kelly, who won Tuesday’s Beerpot was had a big stack going into the last two tables and was looking for back-to-back wins, but exited in 8th place. The win went to Matas Gerdziunas after a four-way deal with Mohamed Mohamed, Muhamed Mia and Nikesh Patel.
