Robert Heidorn Takes the Fast Track to Victory at Bombay High Stakes Week

The Bombay High Stakes Week rolled on with its fourth event under the luxurious roof of the Bombay Club. It was time for the €10,000 Fast Bounty and with 16 entries and a €155,200 prize pool, it was another night of fireworks in the Estonian capital.

As the name suggests, the format delivered speed with 20-minute levels and action with €5,000 bounties awarded for every knockout. Players were incentivized to go for the bounties early and often, and they certainly did as the entire tournament wrapped up in under five hours (excluding breaks).

After the last hand was dealt, it was Germany’s Robert Heidorn who left the Bombay Club with the biggest smile. Heidorn picked up €37,600 from the regular prize pool and another €25,000 in bounties after eliminating five opponents, including Teun Mulder heads-up to seal the win.

It was Heidorn’s first recorded cash of 2025, which now brings him ever closer to the $5 million mark in lifetime live tournament earnings. He’s best known for a deep run in the 2019 WSOP Main Event, the same year his fellow countryman Hossein Ensan took the title, just missing the mark of being among the Final Nine, and a runner-up finish at Triton Cyprus in 2023 for over $1 million.

Mulder, who had stone-cold bubbled back-to-back-to-back events of the Bombay High Stakes Week, finally got the monkey off his back. The Dutch pro finished second for €22,500 and collected an additional €25,000 in bounties, making it a €47,500 night that should ease the sting of his earlier heartbreaks at least a bit.

Spain’s Juan Carlos Vecino Dueñas rounded out the podium in third, earning €15,100 plus one bounty worth €5,000.

Even though only top three places were paid, several other players managed to claw back at least part of their investment. Morten Klein in fourth and Ville-Petteri Wahlbeck in fifth place each scored a bounty before bowing out. Dan “Jungleman” Cates was back in action but finished sixth with no bounties. On the other hand, Markkos Ladev in seventh and Thomas Santerne in eighth each earned some bounty value, the Frenchman even managing to break even with two knockouts.

While the Fast Bounty was plenty of fun we’re sure, Tuesday brings the centerpiece of the Bombay High Stakes Week, the €10,000 Bombay Anniversary Invitational with a jaw-dropping €1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.

It’s an ultra-exclusive event, capped at 64 players that you could only enter via early registration into the €25K Main Event or by personal invitation. With players like Jungleman already in town and whispers of poker legend Phil Ivey and Fedor Holz being among the invitees, we’re expecting serious fireworks in this three-day affair.
