The wait is over, the Bombay High Stakes Week officially begins today at the luxurious Bombay Club in Tallinn, Estonia, running from July 31 to August 7. It’s incredible how quickly this exclusive series has found its place as one of Europe’s premier high stakes destinations. Despite a relatively short history, the series has already become a magnet for some of poker’s biggest names.
With six big-buy-in No Limit Hold’em events on the schedule, each capped at 64 entries, and a venue that blends elegance with elite-level poker, everything screams prestigious, and the next eight days promise thrilling action from start to finish. Two absolute legends of the game, Phil Ivey and Dan “Jungleman” Cates, are confirmed to be in the mix, adding even more star power to a field already loaded with talent.

€10,000 Turbo Warm-Up to Dip Your Toes In
The action begins today with the €10,000 Turbo Warm-Up, a one-day event designed to casually dip into five-figure buy-ins before the real carnage begins. A warm-up, by name only, offers a fast-paced opener that will set the tone for what’s to come. Already tomorrow, the spotlight shifts to the €25,000 Main Event, a three-day affair that will really test the players.
In February’s edition, chess grandmaster Ottomar Ladva proved he could dominate on the felt too, outlasting Evgeniy Tereschenko heads-up to claim the Main Event title and €225,600 first prize. That series also saw Ville Wahlbeck win the €5,000 Turbo opener, defeating one of poker’s bad boys Martin Kabrhel in a heads-up, pocketing €62,250 for the win.
