The 2025 Summer Super Stack at Calgary’s Deerfoot Inn & Casino rolled into August 9th with the second opening flight of the $1,500 Superstack NLH and a pair of single-day side events that kept the action going well into the night. By the end, veteran local Ramaz Haymour had taken down the $280 NLH turbo, PLO specialist Mike Malm had scooped the $340 PLO Bounty, and Day 1B of the Main Event had produced some monster stacks heading into Day 2.

Malm Returns to Form to Take Down the $340 PLO Bounty

The $340 PLO Bounty drew 110 entries, with $100 bounties on every knockout. The format put $20,350 into the prize pool and another $11,000 into bounty envelopes. Mike Malm dominated the field, picking up chips early and never slowing down. Four-handed, Malm called a three-way all-in holding queens full to bust Dave Howat in fourth and Colby Niven in third.
