After a spectacular 2024, when Stefan S took down the first-ever Casinos Austria Poker Tour (CAPT) Million, the CAPT Million is back for 2025. Playing out over 12 days in late November, as the name suggests, there is €1 million guaranteed in the Main Event.
The action kicks off at Casinos Austria – Baden on Nov 20 with a satellite to the big game, guaranteeing 20 tickets, with the opening day of action for the CAPT Million running on Nov 21. From there, players have Day 1 shots at the game throughout the festival.
The big game won’t be the only action in town, however, with A High Roller game, a Ladies event, a Mystery Bounty, and both Mini & Micro CAPT Million events among the side games planned for CAPT Million Baden.
Big Game Details
The big game on the schedule is, of course, the CAPT Million. For €550, players can take multiple shots at the €1 million guaranteed prize pool. The money will be won starting on Day 2 on Nov 29, but before that, nearly every day of the series is packed with Day 1 opportunities.
The CAPT Million is a best-stack-forward event, meaning players can play as many Day 1 flights as they want, taking the biggest bag into Day 2. As an added bonus, players get €4k for every extra stack that gets taken out of play — with the min-cash expected to be about €1,500, that’s a pretty solid deal for dead stacks.
One of the more unique features of this game is the chance to qualify for Day 2 in various locations around Austria. As the promotional website says, “With starting days across Austria, we offer players from all regions the opportunity to participate in this unique tournament. Whether you’re an experienced professional or an up-and-coming amateur, everyone is welcome.” It goes on to add that the same extra-stack bonus applies to players no matter where they qualify.
