The in-house Perla Poker Festival (PPF) is set to return to Perla, Resort & Entertainment in Nova Gorica, Slovenia. Starting November 6, the small Slovenian town on the Italian border plays host to the poker festival that goes back almost a decade.
With its first festival running in Oct 2017, Perla Resort & Entertainment has hosted a couple of PPF events yearly, with the obvious exception of 2020 when the live poker scene across the globe shut down for the COVID-19 pandemic. The November edition is the second PPF series so far in 2025, with the first coming back at the beginning of the year in January.
We at poker.pro were on-site to cover that Main Event live in our live blog, which attracted 236 entries for a €73,050 prize pool. Italian Davide Ceglia triumphed, pocketing €17,000 after defeating home hero Dragan Zarić heads-up, who had to settle for €11,000.

One of the more unique elements of the PPF Main Event is the graduated buy-in structure. Depending on which day a player enters the game, they’ll pay a different price to get their 60k in chips. Day 1a is the cheapest, with players getting a ME stack for just €300 (€280 + €20). Days 1b & c cost €360 (€340 + €20), while entries on Day 1d and Day 2 (3 levels of open entry on Day 2) will cost the full €500 (€450 + €50). The structure is not only unique but also comes with an unusually low fee, thanks to the fact that the PPF is an in-house festival of the Perla Poker Room.
Blind levels in Day 1 flights will be 30 minutes, with that jumping to 40 minutes for Day 2 play. The final table, expected to play out on Nov 10 at 2 PM, will run with 60-minute blind levels.

High Roller & PLO Round Out the Games
Along with the Main Event, players have a few other shots at some prizes. At the start of the festival, the €700 High Roller runs over the first two days, while fans of four-card poker can get their fix on Nov 7 in the Lion PLO.
The mid-series schedule is mostly reserved for Main Event flights, but the final two days of the festival feature a PKO and the Last Dance for players looking to get in some final hands before the tables are broken down. In addition to the MTT schedule, there will be daily cash games running from 5 PM to 6:30 AM during the week and 2 PM – 6:30 AM on the weekend.
Organizers expect a €100,000 prize pool for the whole festival.
About Nova Gorica
Nova Gorica is a planned town in Slovenia near the Italian border. Built in 1947 after WWII, the town is now home to around 13,000 residents.
Incorporated as an urban center in 1952, Nova Gorica is the center of the larger Municipality of Nova Gorica, which boasts a population of more than 70,000. It was named European Capital of Culture for 2025 and features cultural amenities like the Goriška Museum, Kromberk Castle, and the historic Kostanjevica Hill, which features a 17th-century Franciscan monastery.
