The €5,300 EPT Main Event Returns
The crown jewel of the festival — the €5,300 EPT Main Event — kicks off August 24, with two Day 1 flights and a week of world-class competition. Last year, American pro Stephen Song etched his name in EPT history by defeating Andrew Hulme heads-up to win €1,290,386. The duo struck a deal before their final showdown, but there was still €56,800 and the coveted trophy left to battle for.
“You just keep showing up, and eventually, you’re just going to win, right? Just mathematically, it has to happen,” Song said after the win. “I will say that my mom said she was praying for me very hard during this tournament. I’ve been sun-running the whole seven days, so I’m definitely thankful for that.”
It was a career-best score for Song, whose previous top live result was a $712K win at WPT Prime. He now boasts nearly $8 million in live earnings — and players from around the world will be chasing his footsteps in Barcelona this summer.

With over 60 numbered tournaments, the 2025 EPT Barcelona has something for everyone. The PokerStars Open Main Event (€1,650) kicks off on August 18 with multiple Day 1 flights and finishes August 24.
