A sunny live poker adventure in Greece this summer. Sounds too good to be true? Well, it’s not; in June, poker players have the opportunity to participate in the live poker event of a lifetime. What’s even better, it will all go down in the beautiful city of Thessaloniki. Clear your calendar, folks; the 2025 Greek Poker Odyssea is a little over a month away, and poker.pro will be on-site as an official media partner!
€600 Main Event and More on the Menu
The 2025 Greek Poker Odyssea, powered by Novibet, will be played June 23-29 at the Regency Casino, Thessaloniki. The casino in question is no stranger when it comes to live poker tournaments; in April this year, they hosted the Novibet Poker Championship, highlighted by a €600 Main Event (Bulgaria’s Ivan Popov emerged victorious and claimed the €46,361 first-place payout).
As if this already didn’t do the Regency Casino good enough, they also hosted the sixth edition of the Novibet Poker Series in January. Greek Iakovos Aletras won the €600 Main Event, and after a six-way deal at the final table, he got his hands on €27,312 from the prize pool that exceeded €300,000, quite the large number for a €600 buy-in tournament.
Now, they are in full preparation mode for the 2025 Greek Poker Odyssea, and the tournament schedule looks very promising. The cherry on top is the €600 Main Event. It’s a three-day affair with three initial starting flights, and the prize pool is estimated to reach €250,000. Players can secure their Main Event seat for a cheaper price, as three live satellites are running on-site June 24-26, with Wednesday’s €135 Mega Satellite estimating 30 €600 tickets.
The Main Event aside, the schedule features more golden nuggets. The thrill of a Mystery Bounty live poker tournament can’t be topped, and the €450 Mystery Bounty Monsterstack is guaranteed to bring some hot poker action to Greece’s second biggest city. Speaking of bounty tournaments, there’s also the more traditional €250 Progressive Knockout, a two-day event that kicks off on June 24.
There’s also the “little brother” of the Main Event. The €250 Mini Main Event plays Day 1 on June 28, before it concludes the festival on June 29 with Day 2, parallel with Day 3 of the Main Event.
