Olympic Voodoo Casino was full of action on Thursday with the 2025 OlyBet Showdown Riga Voodoo Autumn Edition, with the €1,100 Main Event playing out the final two opening flights, along with two players earning trophies in Latvia’s Ēriks Krūmiņš and Denmark’s Morten Jespersen.

Krūmiņš was the first player to earn a trophy on the day after denying Lithuania its first trophy at this festival by defeating Jonas Lapinskas heads-up to win the €3,302 top prize in the one-day Event #19: €200 NLH. This isn’t the first rodeo won by Krūmiņš, as in the past two years, he has been a star in Tallinn. In 2024, Krūmiņš earned his first WSOP Circuit gold ring after winning Event #1: €250 NLH for €31,620. This past summer, Krūmiņš earned his second gold ring at the 2025 WSOP Circuit Tallinn €350 Online Ring Event, exclusively at OlyBet Poker, for €11,162.

Krūmiņš isn’t the only ring winner from Tallinn looking to add trophies in Riga, as Sweden’s Jenny Westerlund, who shipped the 2025 WSOP Circuit Tallinn €1,500 Main Event for €200,200. Both Krūmiņš and Westerlund will also be heading to the Bahamas in December with other ring winners from across the globe, thanks to an added Ticket to Paradise valued at $5,000 as part of the WSOP Paradise to both players’ ring wins this summer.

While Krūmiņš was busy adding to his hardware collection; the one-day Event #20: €250 NLH Progressive Bounty was winding down, with Jespersen taking down the title for €1,895 plus bounties.

Meanwhile, the 2025 OlyBet Showdown Riga Voodoo Autumn Edition €1,100 Main Event already attracted 128 entries to add €121,600 to the prize pool. Latvia’s Roberts Krīgers is looking to repeat his success from the 2025 OlyBet Showdown Riga Voodoo Autumn Edition €1,100 Main Event, when he won the €33,300 top prize. Krīgers now leads the 48 players to find a bag on Day 2 with more players to come with late registration remaining open during the first two hour-long blind levels, with the action resuming at Noon.

Ēriks Krūmiņš Adds to Legacy

Ēriks Krūmiņš

Latvia’s Ēriks Krūmiņš has become an OlyBet legend over the past few years after winning WSOP Circuit Tallinn rings in back-to-back years. He also managed a pair of victories the past couple of years at the Irish Poker Open and will be a player to keep their eyes on for years to come.

Krūmiņš apparently prefers double vision with two WSOP Circuit Tallinn rings and two Irish Open trophies in back-to-back years. He continued this trend with the OlyBet Showdown Riga Voodoo events. Last September, Krūmiņš shipped the €250 NLH Deep Stack for €3,487 and the trophy. Fast forward to one year later, and Krūmiņš followed the pattern and won his second Riga trophy on Thursday evening, this time in Event #19: €200 NLH for €3,302 after defeating Lithuania’s Jonas Lapinskas (second – €2,190) for the title.

The €200 NLH attracted 68 entries to create a €10,982 prize pool. The final nine players each earned at least a €350 min-cash after the United Kingdom’s Mark Adams bubbled the event in 10th place.

Event #20: €250 NLH Progressive Bounty attracted 70 entries to generate €14,630 in prizes, including €7,000 in progressive bounties.

The top eight players collected at least €280 from the prize pool after Latvia’s Valdis Skudra just missed out on an official payout when he became the first player to hit the rail at the final table in ninth place.

Denmark’s Morten Jespersen and Greece’s Enea Subashi were the last players standing, each already locking up the €1,895 top prize. Jespersen won the huge bounty at the end to become the first player from Denmark to win a trophy at the 2025 OlyBet Showdown Riga Voodoo Autumn Edition.
