A band on the stage at Olympic Casino Voodoo broke in the weekend while many players from around the world were busy trying to add chips at the tables on Day 7 of the 2025 OlyBet Showdown Riga Voodoo Autumn Edition.

Latvia’s Ēriks Krūmiņš, who earned a trophy in the one-day Event #19: €200 NLH on Thursday for €3,302, was honored with a ring ceremony as he earned his second WSOP Circuit Tallinn gold ring in the summer after winning the 2025 WSOP Circuit Tallinn €350 Online Ring Event, exclusively at OlyBet Poker, for €11,162. His first ring came the summer before, when he won the 2024 WSOP Circuit Tallinn €250 NLH Opening Event for €31,620.

Now Krūmiņš is in an enviable spot as he leads the final 10 players with a massive stack of 1,040,000 in the 2025 OlyBet Showdown Riga Voodoo Autumn Edition €1,100 Main Event, with players already locking up €3,150 and a €33,300 top prize on the line. Krūmiņš isn’t the story building on Saturday’s final day, as the defending champion Roberts Krīgers is just behind Krūmiņš with 783,000.

Meanwhile, Israel’s Gabi Livshitz is on the other end of the spectrum with just 64,000 for a shade over five big blinds, with the action resuming at Noon with blinds at 6,000/12,000 (12,000). Livshitz is one of the most successful players to visit Riga this festival, but will need a Cinderella-style run for a chance at Main Event glory. Livshitz came to Riga to visit his friend Yaniv Peretz. Remarkably, Peretz is also still in the mix with 201,000, only ahead of Livshitz.

The 2025 OlyBet Showdown Riga Voodoo Autumn Edition €1,100 Main Event attracted 150 entries to create a €142,500 prize pool to set a new Latvian record for this event. In other news, Sweden’s Christer Larsson won the €200 PLO4 for €2,240. Lithuania’s Jonas Lapinskas made up for his runner-up result on Thursday against Krūmiņš in the €200 NLH with a trophy in the €150 NLH Turbo on Friday for €2,336.

Additionally, the two-day €350 NLH Progressive Bounty witnessed 101 entries on Friday’s opening day to create €29,645 in prizes, including €10,100 in progressive bounties. Latvia’s Aigars Petrovs leads the final table of nine hopefuls when the action resumes at Noon on Saturday.

Christer Larsson Wins PLO4

Sweden’s Christer Larsson arrived in Riga on Thursday before entering the €200 PLO4 in the early evening. He will now have a memory to bring home as he defeated Estonia’s Lauri Nugin heads-up to win the €2,240 top prize.

The €200 PLO4 attracted 39 entries to create a €6,299 prize pool with the top five players collecting at least a €570 min-cash for nearly triple the buy-in after Latvia’s Edgars Priede bubbled the event at the final table.

Finland’s Markus Asikainen took bronze in this event for €1,130, with his countrymate Anne Bezdek ousted in fourth place for €770. This is Bezdek’s third visit to Riga for poker, recently having also attended the 2024 OlyBet Showdown Riga Voodoo Bounty and the 2025 OlyBet Showdown Riga Voodoo Spring Edition.

Meanwhile, Latvia’s Askolds Uldriķis prevented the home country from being blanked in this event, taking fifth place for €570.
