When it comes to live poker events in the Baltics, OlyBet is the undisputed main entity in the discussion. For years, they’ve formed the live poker landscape in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, and it’s safe to say they’ve set the bar high in terms of quality. OlyBet’s festivals attract people not only from the Baltics, but from all over the world. Now, it’s soon time for yet another major event on Estonian soil, seeing as the 2026 OlyBet Showdown Tallinn will bring the heat to Olympic Park Casino and the Hilton Tallinn Park from April 10-19, following off the heels of successful OlyBet Showdown events in the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius in January and the Latvian capital of Riga in March.
Ten Days, 43 Events
Wayne Gretsky, Roger Federer, Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan… the “G.O.A.T.” discussion in various sports and disciplines is always ongoing. Regarding live poker festivals in the beautiful Baltic states, though, there simply is no argument to be made. OlyBet is easily the largest actor bringing eternal life to poker communities across the three countries, and they do so in stellar fashion. They’ve already held two successful events this year, including their annual flagship festival, the Kings of Tallinn. This year’s edition did not disappoint, and Veli-Pekka Penttinen’s €1,100 Main Event was the cherry on top of what was a flawless 11-day live poker bonanza.

Speaking of Tallinn, the Estonian capital will soon again roll out the red carpet for yet another OlyBet event. The 2026 OlyBet Showdown Tallinn will be played at Olympic Park Casino & Hilton Tallinn Park Hotel between April 10-19. The OlyBet Showdown series has been going on since 2023, with events in both Vilnius and Riga. This, however, will be the first time ever that an OlyBet Showdown event is held in Estonia (not counting the 2024 OlyBet Showdown Spring Mix, which was a standalone event), and what an event it will be. Including satellites, the tournament schedule features a staggering 43 events, making it one of the most diversified poker festivals ever seen in the Baltics.

Let’s start with the crème de la crème; the €1,100 Main Event. Historically, the Main Event buy-in for all OlyBet Showdown festivals was €555, but it was increased to €1,100 during the 2025 OlyBet Showdown Riga Voodoo Spring Edition, and it has stayed four-digit since then. This change has proved to generate impressive prize pools, and the first-place payout has usually been around €33,000. Perhaps the upcoming Tallinn Main Event will see the winner take home an even bigger prize, since the tournament has four starting-day flights. As is usually the case with the OlyBet Showdown Main Events, late registration will be open during the earlier stages of Day 2. The tournament will crown a winner on April 18, the penultimate day of the festival, determining the first-ever OlyBet Showdown Tallinn Main Event winner. That certain player will join several very competent players in the Hall of Fame.
The Main Event will arguably be the most prestigious tournament during the 2026 OlyBet Showdown Tallinn, but as previously mentioned, the schedule features many more exciting tournaments. Another event that will attract a decent crowd will be the €200 Mini Main Event. It’s a two-day affair with three starting-day flights, and considering Day 2 is scheduled on April 14, this will be one of the earlier tournaments of the festival; a great reason to attend the 2026 OlyBet Showdown Tallinn from the get-go.
Speaking of multi-day tournaments, the €555 OlyBet Showdown Championship has stood the test of time and proven to be a much-appreciated tournament by all OlyBet Showdown players. The Tallinn edition will play down to the money on the sole starting-day flight, and the players will then bag their chips before returning the next day, April 15, and battle it out for the title.

There are a few more Texas NLH tournaments that deserve to be highlighted. The €200 OlyBet Win TV Superlive Special will take place on April 11, the second day of the festival, and it features quite a unique twist. Two players will be taking turns playing one stack. Both players must play at least three players, making this a kind of tag-team affair. This won’t actually be the first time OlyBet utilizes this concept; Valentine’s Day took place during the 2026 Kings of Tallinn, and Onni Huttunen and Miika Töyräs teamed up to take home the €555 NLH Valentine’s Special Tag Team Event for €4,885 each. Once again, OlyBet shows off their creative side, and it’s an educated guess that this will be a very fun and enjoyable tournament, played in a relaxed yet competitive atmosphere.
Mixed Games Galore
“Nothing beats the thrill of a live poker mystery bounty tournament” has become something of a cliché in poker.pro reporter. That being said, it is true; the excitement of pulling an envelope is something special, and with this in mind, the €350 Deepstack Mystery Bounty should be one of the most popular events during the later stages of the festival. Day 1 (April 17) will play down to the money, and the mystery envelopes will be introduced on April 18. This may be the perfect tournament for those who don’t make it through Day 2 of the Main Event to jump into.

Over to the Mixed Games action then, and this should excite a lot of players. The €200 Open-Face Chinese Pineapple will be one of the more niche games, scheduled on April 13. The next day, another tournament that made its appearance during the 2026 Kings of Tallinn will return, namely the €200 Five-Card Mix. Consisting of Sviten, PLO5, and Five-Card Triple Draw, this event ought to bring unparalleled action to the tables. All three tournaments will be played Pot-Limit, and the eventual winner should be considered somewhat of a Five-Card virtuoso.
Sviten in particular has proven to be a popular discipline during the OlyBet Showdown events. The €200 PL Sviten/PLO5 will be played on April 15, and those who can’t get enough of the Swedish game that combines Five-Card Draw and PLO5 can also compete in the purified €200 PL Sviten event the next day, April 17.

The €150 NLH Queens, several PLO tournaments, multiple satellites for various events (some of them being freebuys), the €150 OlyBet Showdown Tallinn Online Progressive Bounty… if poker.pro were to highlight every golden nugget of a poker tournament during the 2026 OlyBet Showdown Tallinn, this article would turn into a longer novel. All poker enthusiasts would be very wise to browse the utopian tournament schedule below. There’s also the €80 Satellite to The Festival Weekend; Martin “Franke” von Zweigbergk will host three The Festival Weekends in 2026 (one in each of the Baltic countries), and during the 2026 OlyBet Showdown Tallinn, players can compete in the aforementioned satellite for €555 Main Event tickets, which will be eligible for any of Franke’s three weekend events.

It’s hard to put words on the atmosphere that OlyBet has managed to create during their live poker festivals. It’s a very familiar and friendly environment, yet the competition is immense. The 2026 OlyBet Showdown Tallinn will undoubtedly keep the trend going, and considering it’s the first-ever event of its kind on Estonian soil, a lot of poker history will be written. The poker.pro editorial office is excited to take part in all the action, and considering how OlyBet has started the year, the expectations are high to say the least.
