A Latvian, a superbike racer, and a Canadian world traveler walk into a bar. It sounds like the setup to a joke. Instead, it perfectly sums up the diversity of champions crowned on Sunday at the 2026 OlyBet Showdown Riga Voodoo Spring Edition at Olympic Voodoo Casino.
Canada’s Eric Wasylenko has been bouncing around Europe for the past few months and arrived in Riga fresh off a WSOP Circuit gold ring victory in Liechtenstein. The Canadian entered the final day of the €250 NLH Opening Event as chip leader and went the distance, winning the title for €7,060, the largest prize so far this festival.
The €350 NLH Progressive Bounty turned into an all-Latvian battle when four players remained. Dāvis Daugaviņš and poker coach Matīss Celmiņš chopped the €3,724 top prize before Daugaviņš defeated Celmiņš heads-up to grab the trophy and the final big bounty.
Meanwhile, Latvia’s Garijs Rožkalns captured the final title of the day in the €200 NLH for €2,135. Superbike fans may recognize Rožkalns as the first Latvian to finish the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans motorcycle race and a competitor in the FIM World Endurance Championship, but he’s also a serious poker player. We first met him last month as the last celebrity standing in the Kings of Tallinn €200 Celebrity Special. Keep an eye on OlyBet Poker and PokerPro World social media for his upcoming interview with poker.pro host Glenn Brown, filmed while the pair went head-to-head on the F1 simulator inside the casino.

The two-day €250 NLH Opening Event attracted 136 entries, creating a €28,424 prize pool. The second and final day began with a final table of nine hopefuls, with Eric Wasylenko kicking off the action as the table captain.
The event was an international affair, witnessed by the final four players, each from a different country, with all three Baltic countries represented. Dāvis Daugaviņš Wins €350 NLH Progressive Bounty

The €350 NLH Progressive Bounty drew 84 runners, with €24,738 in prizes, including €8,400 in bounties. The one-day event witnessed Latvian domination with six of the nine players at the final table from the home country in the money.
The trophy was guaranteed to stay home with four players remaining after Lithuania’s Ernestas Stalemekas (fifth – €1,340 + bounties) and Sweden’s Jan Risberg (sixth – €1,090 + bounties) collected their payout slips.
The final table was unwinding as the final event of the day in the €200 NLH was beginning, with players from that event also railing the final table until Dāvis Daugaviņš and Matīss Celmiņš were heads-up with the top prize of €3,724 locked up with the big bounty at the end to still be played for. Celmiņš, a popular poker coach and streamer, was itching for the trophy with the encouragement of the rail. However, Daugaviņš had plans of his own and won the event to earn the bragging rights, the trophy, and the final bounty.
