The vibe is buzzing at Genting Casino Stratford, London. The 2025 PartyPoker Tour London (Winter Edition) is on its last stretch, and what has been an action-packed week is soon about to wrap up.
While the prestigious £500 Main Event will wrap up today, December 21, the penultimate day of the festival was one of the busiest days of the London stop so far. The Day 2 survivors of the aforementioned Main Event set the stage for the exciting conclusion, while three well-deserved winners claimed trophies in various side events. On top of that, two starting-day flights of the £250 PLO Masters saw a total of 13 players bagging for the final day, joining those who had previously bagged their chips from Friday’s Day 1a flight. In other words, Saturday, December 20, brought all of the action to London’s finest poker venue.

Surenjav in the Driver’s Seat; Leal’s on a Mission
Day 2 of the Main Event commenced around 16:30, after the fourth and final starting-day flight (the Day 1d turbo) had wrapped up. Ever since their first event this year, PartyPoker has proved that they are back in the form of a strong actor on the live poker tour. The final stop of 2025 is not an exception, as the £100,000 Main Event guarantee was absolutely shattered. The final number of Main Event entries read 399, which translates into a whopping £177,555. The payouts were announced roughly one hour into the tournament, and it’s an educated guess that the £32,500 first-place prize was on the mind of all 104 players who started Day 2.
The somewhat lengthy bubble burst around 21:00, when Thomas Bingham bid farewell in sixty-third place. With that, the remaining contestants were all guaranteed a £1,000 min-cash. The unavoidable post-bubble bustout bonanza commenced; there were some familiar names amongst those busting out from the tournament the following hours, such as Will Kassouf, Deniz Orhan, Nathalie Bromley, Niall Farrell, Alexander Georgiev, and Dara O’Kearney.

Day 2 wrapped up around 3:00 the night between Saturday and Sunday. Sixteen brave competitors remain in the Main Event, and they will take their seats at 14:00 today (December 21) and play it out for the title and eternal poker glory. Purev Surenjav is leading the field with 2,295,000, but it’s very even, and the field is still wide open. One player who’s on the hunt for glory is Andre Leal. After winning the £150 Mini Main Event (navigating his way through a field consisting of 726 entries), Leal is now seventh in the Main Event chip counts. He’s hungry for more, and one can’t help but think of when Tai Hoang came second in the Mini Main Event and won the Main Event during the recent 2025 PartyPoker Tour Birmingham.

Will Leal be able to achieve an even stronger back-to-back score than Hoang? Only time will tell how the story will finish. All players can follow the action on the poker.pro live blog (courtesy of Ricard Hayes), and on PartyPoker’s YouTube channel, where the Day 3 conclusion will be live-streamed with a 30-minute delay.

Senyuksel And Bannerman Amongst Side Event Winners
Those who weren’t locking horns in Day 2 of the Main Event spent Saturday at Genting Casino Stratford participating in any of the three side events. Tennessee Hold’em, the unique game invented by Scott Hill, has been a recurring tournament during all the 2025 PartyPoker Tour stops. The affair commenced in parallel with the Main Event at 16:00, and when late registration closed, the screens displayed 21 entries and a £1,050 prize pool. With four players remaining, the payouts were adjusted to include a small consolation prize for the fourth-place finisher. Georgios Zaroubi claimed the title, while PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Glenn Brown finished as the runner-up, and perhaps, he’s found a new favorite game in Tennessee Hold’em.

The £200 NLH tournament, sponsored by Faded Spade, was Saturday’s second side event, where a trophy would be awarded to the winner. A total of 39 entries yielded a £6,630 prize pool, and, in the end, it was local player Safak Senyuksel who claimed the win. Alongside the coveted PartyPoker trophy, Senyuksel got £2,460 for his tournament win, which is his best live cash to date (according to The Hendon Mob).

At 22:00, the £60 PLO Masters Saturday Party Madness NLH/PLO Bounty kicked off. Those who’ve been attending the 2025 PartyPoker Tour can vouch that one of the tour’s most significant strengths is its tournament diversification. Whether one prefers to play an ordinary Texas NLH tournament or tangle with some Mixed Games, the opportunities are vast at the PartyPoker Tour events.
This specific tournament is a good example of this, and its action-filled format attracted 87 entries, making it the largest side event on Saturday. Thirteen players made the money, and when the dust had settled, Jonathan Bannerman could be declared the winner. Not including bounties, Bannerman got £615 for his feature, and it’s a first tournament win for the Brit.

PLO Masters in Full Swing
Last but absolutely not least, the second-to-last day of the 2025 PartyPoker Tour London Winter Edition also featured two starting-day flights of the £250 PLO Masters Main Event. Created by UK poker legend JJ Hazan, the PLO Masters is a series of PLO tournaments that’s running in tandem with various live poker events. The 2025 PartyPoker Tour has been a big advocate for the PLO Masters this year, and presumably, Hazan is thrilled to see his PLO baby in full flower in London.

Day 1b of the PLO Masters Main Event kicked off at 13:00. The second starting-day flight attracted 34 entries, and it was determined that eight players would bag for Day 2. “Shuffle up and deal” for the Day 1c turbo flight was scheduled to 19:00, and when late registration closed in the third (out of a total of four) starting-day flight, the final number of entries read 17. Five players advanced to Day 2 from the 1c flight.
