The fifth day of the 2026 PartyPoker Seville made Admiral Casino the epicentre of Spain for one night. The action was unparalleled with two starting-day flights for the €500 Main Event, which saw 58 players in total bagging for Day 2. The €250 PLO Masters Main Event also kicked off with its first starting-day flight, and the tour’s founder, JJ Hazan, managed to secure one of the biggest stacks. What’s more, the €60 poker.pro Friday Party Madness Crazy Pineapple Bounty attracted a massive field, making it the biggest poker.pro-branded tournament ever.
A Boiling Tournament Room
While Seville is mostly known for its stunning scenery, cultural heritage, and mesmerizing flamenco performances, the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Seville is shaping up to be an event etched into Spanish poker history forever. The turnout in Seville has been overwhelming throughout the week, and Friday was perhaps the busiest day yet.

The action kicked off at 14:00 with Day 1b of the Main Event. This is the one tournament that everyone wants to make a deep run in, and that was also the case for most of the PartyPoker Tour Ambassadors. Sam Acheampong, Joe Beevers, Barry Carter, Natalie Bromley, Rebecca Hardisy, Niall “Firaldo” Farrell, and Daniel Garcia were all in the field, eager to secure a bag each for Day 2. The total number of entries was increasing at a rapid pace, and already around Level 4, it was announced that the €100,000 guarantee of the tournament had already been surpassed; considering this happened on the early stages of the second out of a total of four starting-day flights, it’s safe to say the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Seville is a slam-dunk of a success.

Alongside the ambassadors, PartyPoker Team Pro Matt Staples was also in the field, and he was the one out of the bunch proudly wearing the PartyPoker patch who built up the biggest stacks shortly before late registration closed, after eliminating Peggy “Pocket Peg” Crawford with a full house against the nut flush. When late registration ultimately closed, the screens in the tournament area revealed a total of 166 entries, meaning 42 players (i.e., 25% of the field) would make it to Day 2.
Around 2:00 a.m., the tournament came to an end. The survivors all bagged their chips, and topping the chip counts from Day 1b is Andres Herrera with 493,000. Carter, Firaldo, and Beevers were the ambassadors who made it through. Other notable names who advanced are PartyPoker Team Pro Jaime Staples (who late-registered the tournament on the last level), and poker profile Dara O’Kearney.

He cracked aces on the first hand and successfully managed to navigate his way through the field and secure his Day 2 appearance.

JJ Hazan Bags “Own” Tournament; Crazy Pineapple is Crazy
Friday also featured the first starting-day flight of the €250 PLO Masters Main Event. The PLO Masters is a series of PLO tournaments created by JJ Hazan, which ran in conjunction with the 2025 PartyPoker Tour. That is also the case for this year’s tour, and JJ Hazan himself made his way to Seville to promote the tour. The poker.pro live reporter Christoffer Karlén had a small chat with JJ Hazan at Admiral Casino, who was excited over the fact that his series now has reached Spanish soil:
“It’s a challenge, because the PLO scene in Spain is not very big. That being said, 71 entries in yesterday’s €100 PLO Masters 4/5/6 were great. PartyPoker and the PLO Masters had predicted a maximum of 50 entries in that specific event, so it exceeded our expectations. Perhaps, the Spanish PLO scene is growing.”

JJ Hazan himself jumped into Day 1a of the PLO Masters Main Event, bringing the total number of entries up to 21. Four players made it through to Day 2, including the founding father himself. He bagged 398,000, which was 37% of the chips in play. Despite this, he only finished second in the chip counts, as Miguel Angel Rodriguez finished the flight with 496,000. This may say something about the stack sizes of the other two who made it through.

| Position | Player | Chips |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Miguel Angel Rodriguez | 496,000 |
| 2 | JJ Hazan | 398,000 |
| 3 | Jorge Paredes | 111,000 |
| 4 | Jaime Cerezo | 45,000 |
Last, but absolutely not least, it was poker.pro’s time to shine late on Friday night, as the €60 poker.pro Friday Party Madness Crazy Pineapple Bounty kicked off at 22:00. The tournament exceeded the expectations of all involved; when late registration closed, 138 entries were confirmed, creating a €6,900 prize pool, half of it being in the form of bounties. This made it the second largest poker.pro-branded tournament ever. It’s safe to say the Spaniards enjoyed the rapid action Crazy Pineapple brings to the table; heads were rolling in the tournament, players busting left and right faster than the bar staff could keep up.
poker.pro has requested the results from yesterday’s tournament and will update this article as soon as possible
