Everything You Need to Know About PartyPoker Tour Birmingham

The dust has barely settled after the 2025 PartyPoker Tour Glasgow, which concluded just a couple of weeks ago. Time and time again, PartyPoker proves that they’re extremely serious about their comeback to the live poker scene; the events so far have only become better and better, and PartyPoker keeps raising the bar for the live poker event standard.

There’ll be little to no time to rest, as it’s soon time for the fourth stop of the year. The next PartyPoker Tour stop will be in Birmingham from October 11 to 19, and considering all previous affairs have been very successful, there’s no reason to believe anything other than that Birmingham will deliver the live poker experience of a lifetime. As an official media partner, poker.pro will be on site at Resorts World Genting Casino, bringing you the latest updates and highlights from the festival. And for the first time ever, the schedule will also feature three poker.pro branded events, making this stop extra special.

Next Stop, Birmingham

When PartyPoker announced its much-anticipated return to the live poker scene earlier this year, the expectations were high. The first two stops were in London (Genting Casino Stratford, formerly known as Aspers Casino, in April) and Manchester (Manchester235 Casino in June). As previously mentioned, the third stop was in Glasgow, and it was a feast that the Alea Casino will never forget. It all concluded in stellar fashion as Zhen Zhen won the £500 Main Event for £22,500, defeating well-merited players such as Jaime Staples, Dean Lyall, and David Lappin on the final table.

Now, it’s soon time for the fourth event. The 2025 PartyPoker Tour Birmingham will be played October 11-19 at the Resorts World Genting Casino. This will be the first major live poker event at that specific location in five years, and for sure, poker players and enthusiasts from all over the world will make their way to Birmingham with the goal of making eternal poker history.

Qualify Online at PartyPoker for Pennies

The one thing that’s arguably been the biggest reason for the tour’s success this year is the online qualifiers running on the PartyPoker online poker client. At least 1,000 players will win/already have won their seats to the various 2025 PartyPoker Tour stops through the online qualifiers, starting from as low as £0.20. The PartyPoker Tour Path consists of five stages, where there’s one £1,000 package guaranteed to the winner of the fifth and final stage.

There’s also the PartyPoker Tour Challenge; by raking in online cash games and/or registering for online tournaments, players earn points that then can be redeemed for various PartyPoker Tour tickets, or even full packages. There’s no doubt about it; the PartyPoker online qualifiers are the way to go for those who want to secure their Birmingham adventure for a cheaper prize.

21 Unique Events

The 2025 PartyPoker Tour Birmingham schedule features 21 unique events. Some tournaments are recognizable from the previous stops, while others are brand new.

Of course, the £500 Main Event is a vital part of the schedule, as it has been on the previous three stops. Getnet Kassa, Deniz Orhan, and Zhen Zhen are the Main Event winners so far this year; will there be a new name joining the Hall of Fame in Birmingham, or will one of the three mentioned above be able to claim a second coveted Main Event trophy? Time will tell. The Main Event is a three-day affair that offers four starting-day flights, and 25% of the total number of entries will make it through to Day 2.

Another recurring tournament is the £150 Mini Main Event. With six Day 1 flights, the Mini Main Event tends to be one of the most popular and appreciated tournaments during the stops. Just like the Main Event, the “little brother” will be played over three days, and 20% of the field from each starting-day flight will move on to the second day. In Glasgow, the tournament attracted 468 entries, which created a £57,966 prize pool. Scot Christian Watt emerged as the last man standing, and he claimed the £10,260 first-place payout.

The poker.pro and the PartyPoker collaboration also continues. After hosting the £200 poker.pro PLO in London, the £100 PLO4/5/6 in Manchester, and the £60 poker.pro PL H.O.R.S.E in Glasgow, poker.pro will now have three branded tournaments in Birmingham. On October 13, the British poker community will be introduced to Scandinavian Mixed Games, as the £60 poker.pro PL Sviten Special is scheduled to commence at 19:00.

On October 14, there will be yet another edition of the £60 poker.pro PL H.O.R.S.E., and the next day, a new game will see the light of day. The CEO of poker.pro, Jason Glatzer, had the idea of combining Razz, Omaha Hi/Lo 8 or Better, Sviten, Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better, and Deuce-to-Seven Triple Draw into one game, and thus, the £100 poker.pro R.O.S.E.T. will debut on October 15. Unique prizes from poker.pro are guaranteed for all three of these events.

What’s more, the PLO Masters is also returning. JJ Hazan is the mastermind behind the PLO Masters, a series of PLO tournaments he runs in conjunction with live poker events in the UK, such as the PartyPoker Tour. There are four PLO Masters event on the schedule, where the €250 PLO Masters Main Event is the star of the show. The tournament dfeatures four starting-day flights, before the survivors will battle it out for the title on Day 2.

A Tour for the Players

Those who’ve attended one of the PartyPoker Tour events this year know that it’s all about creating a good experience for the player. Everything that PartyPoker does is with the players’ best interests in mind. For example, there are no hidden fees or deductions in relation to the buy-ins; what you see is what you pay for. Overall, the buy-ins for the tournaments are on the low side, so that all recreationals and grassroots players can enjoy a first-class live poker experience. Antonio Sapio, founder of the event agency VibeLive that has been crucial for the PartyPoker Tour’s resurrection, does a great job describing the vision of the tour:

“We’re giving live poker back to the players. No cuts from the prize pool, affordable buy-ins, and over a thousand seats given away – this is poker for everyone, not just professionals.”

Antonio Saopio is the founder of VibeLive, the event company that organizes the PartyPoker Tour together with PartyPoker

In Birmingham, they will elevate the player experience even further. The schedule features intriguing elements such as casino- and sports betting tournaments, something that’s not been on the PartyPoker Tour schedules before. Also, the Player’s Party on Saturday, October 18, is guaranteed to be a blast for all visitors.

As has been the case with the previous events, poker.pro will be on-site in Birmingham, reporting live from what is destined to be a superb week of live poker. Tournament results, exclusive interviews, crucial hands, entertaining moments… everything of interest will be covered live, and the whole team at poker.pro really appreciates the good relationship with PartyPoker. Speaking of live coverage, the final table of the Mini Main Event, as well as Day 1b, Day 2, and Day 3 of the Main Event, will be live-streamed on the PartyPoker- and the poker.pro YouTube channels with cards faced-up.

It’s worth mentioning that everyone who’s thinking of traveling to the UK from abroad to participate in the Birmingham event may need a UK Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA).

Resorts World Genting Casino, Birmingham

Again, it will be the first time in five years that the Resorts World Genting Casino, Birmingham, hosts a live poker event of this magnitude. Considering the quality of the venue, poker events should be more common. It’s much more than a casino; it’s an entertainment resort in absolute top-notch fashion that features a luxury hotel, more than 20 restaurants, miscellaneous shops, a cinema, and much, much more. The last notable live poker event they hosted was the 2020 GentingBet Poker Series, back in October 2020.

A sublime tournament schedule featuring many different games, a state-of-the-art venue, players’ party, and other leisure activities… indeed, the 2025 PartyPoker Tour Birmingham is destined to be a live poker event for the ages. If it’s anything like the previous events, it’ll be an unforgettable poker experience.
