PokerStars & FiveBet’s SPS in Campione for First Time

The Swiss Poker Series (SPS) is closing its 2025 season in a brand new place — Casino di Campione. The series sponsor, PokerStars, is no stranger to Campione after hosting the PokerStars Open there in March, but this is the first time the SPS has made its way to the city.

There are 38 games on the schedule for SPS Campione (SPS-C) spread over 10 days. The action kicks off on Nov 14, with the final hands playing out on Nov 23.

The highlight of the series is, of course, the Main Event. Players get 50k to start and will have 5 Day 1 shots at the endgame. The final in-the-money action will be on Nov 22 & 23, with five shots at the final days running between Nov 16 & 21.

For players looking to get into the Main Event a little cheaper, there are also live satellites running with a Win-Your-Seat model set at 130k. Main Event satellites are scattered daily throughout the early schedule with buy-ins of €100.

Mystery Bounties, Omaha Hi-Lo, PLO, KO Progressive, and Dealers Choice Round Out Schedule

The Grande Finale Campione is a well-rounded festival, with a wide variety of games on offer. Mixed game fans will have their fill in the Dealers Choice on Nov 19, with Omaha hi-lo and PLO games also on the schedule.

One of the more unusual formats looks to be the KO Progressive games. There are two versions of the format on offer in Campione, the €110 + 100 + 40 Forza SPS KO Prog, which runs Nov 17 & 18, and the Hook KO Prog on Nov 20 for €90 + 80 + 70.

With a half-and-half bounty system, the games put half the bounty value in a regular KO pool, with the other half going into a progressive pool. As an example, in the Hook game, when a player knocks another out, they’ll get €40 plus half the progressive side, with the other half of the progressive going to their own bounty.

In the case of an opening bounty, that would mean €40 + €20 in the player’s pocket immediately, with €20 increasing the progressive portion of their own bounty to €60. If that player then got knocked out, the winner would get €40 + €30 with their own progressive bounty increasing to €70.

With 38 events, the 10 days at the Grande Finale Campione will be jam-packed with on-felt action, and no matter what kind of poker you enjoy, there’s probably a game for you at the final SPS stop of 2025.
