Action was underway in the PPT #2 $1,100 Main Event. The first flight of the series saw 100 players combining for a $94,050 prize pool. From the field thirteen players made it into Day 2 to enter the money. Brett Worton battled his way to a monster stack by the end of the night with 550,000. Garry Sandhu held second with 413,000, while Jimmy Lee rounded out the podium bagging 337,500.
Worton was already near the top with 25 players remaining. He found a check raise against two players to take down a pot with ten away from the money. A huge cooler two away from the money set Worton up to take the chip lead. He found pocket aces against Taran Parmar’s pocket kings. Parmar seemed poised to win the pot on the king high board, but a dagger in the form of the ace on the river flipped the odds.
