It’s time for another trip to Calgary, as the Spring Super Stack is set to kick off in early April at Deerfoot Inn & Casino. Satellite action for the series kicks off on Tuesday, April 7, with two qualifier games on the schedule at 2 and 6 PM.
That leads into the series proper, which begins on Wednesday, April 8, at 11 AM, with the Seniors game leading the way into the official series schedule. That kicks off 12 days of series action, with the Main Event title expected to be awarded late in the day on April 19.
After the intense session in January with the record-setting WSOP Circuit event, the Spring Super Stack promises to be a more sedate affair. Players should expect smaller field sizes than when the Circuit partners come to town, with total prizes for the series expected to come in between $1 and $1.5 million.
2 Card, 4 Card, 7 Card Fun
The official series games kick off on April 8, with a total of 17 events planned for the 2026 Spring SS. As usual, the big show will be the $1,500 Main Event, which runs two starting flights on April 17 & 18, with the final day playing out on April 19th.
While the Main Event and much of the rest of the series are played with two cards in the no-limit hold’em format, aficionados of other formats will also find some fun at Deerfoot Inn & Casino in Calgary for the Spring Super Stack. There are several PLO variants spread across the schedule, including a Double Board Bomb Pot game on the evening of Thu, Apr 9, as well as a PLO Bounty, and a $600 straight PLO game on Wed, Apr 15.
The mixed rotation is back for Spring as well, with this series switching back to the more traditional HORSE rotation, after a couple of TORSE rings were handed out in the two most recent series from the operator. That game runs on April 13 for $400, featuring a rotation of limit hold’em, limit PLO hi/lo, limit razz, limit stud, and limit stud hi/lo.
Add in a $1k 6-Max game, a progressive knockout, and three multi-flight games, as well as a couple of specialty games in the Seniors (Apr 8) and the Team (Apr 11), and the Spring Super Stack should have something for almost every player.
