King’s Resort, Rozvadov, is a legendary live poker venue. While the Czech village might not be as big as New York, live poker enthusiasts all over the world consider it. The casino is massive, and it’s no stranger to hosting events of a higher magnitude.

That was the case last week, when the 2026 Vamos Poker Tour Rozvadov went down. It was an eight-day affair that was highlighted by a €350 Main Event. The “VPT” proved once again to be a popular tour, and the aforementioned Main Event generated a €78,350 first-place payout; quite the paycheck, considering the relatively shy buy-in. When the dust had settled, victory belonged to an experienced player from Greece who added an impressive win to his resume.

Bringing it Home to Greece

The Vamos Poker Tour is the tour that offers players splendid opportunities to travel across Europe and enjoy various live poker events. The Rozvadov stop was the tour’s first event of 2026 with six more to come: Bucharest (March 16-22), Šamorín (June 9-15), Tróia (July 20-26), Milamo (August 25-September 7), Murcia (October 12-18), and Sofia (November 2-8).

The 2026 Vamos Poker Tour Rozvadov was played at King’s Resort, Rozvadov, between February 23-March 2. The festival featured a hefty tournament schedule that included 12 events. The undisputed star of the show was the €350 Main Event; holding a €600,000 guarantee, this tournament was destined to attract a big crowd.

Including a Flip & Go starting day, players could choose between eight different initial flights. When Day 2 commenced and late registration officially closed, the organizers could confirm that the tournament had registered 1,445 entries. Up top was a juicy €77,200 prize awaiting the winner; needless to say, there was a lot to play for.

The third and final day of the Main Event was live-streamed on King’s Resort YouTube channel. When the broadcast went live, 24 players remained, and roughly four hours later, the field had been reduced to the nine final table players. Czech Dominik Posta was the chip leader with 74 Big Blinds, just a hair in front of Spain’s Manuel Perez, who played 72 “Bigs”. It was quite the deep-stacked final table; all players had 20 Big Blinds as a minimum, except for the short-stacked Joachim Weihs, who only had six.

The German would eventually be the first one to bust. He survived the first hour (much thanks to an early double-up), but eventually hit the rail in ninth place for €9,220, as he lost a flip for his tournament life with 44 against the A9 of Emmanouil Chalkiotis.

“O.G.Pageka” from Turkey would soon become the next casualty. After an initial opening from David Ortega from UTG, Chalkiotis three-bet from the Hi-jack. “O.G.Pageka” was at this point down to one mere Big Blind, and committed his last chips to a call from the Cut-off with KJ. Ortega folded his AJ, meaning “O.G.Pageka” was up only against the A10 of Chalkiotis. Chalkiotis took a firm lead on the ace-high flop, and as “O.G.Pageka” wasn’t able to catch up, he bid farewell in eighth place for €11,300.

Ortega would soon be involved in a major hand again. Dominik Posta moved all in for roughly nine Big Blinds from the Button with A9, and Ortega made the call with KQ from the Small Blind. Ortega flopped a straight, and the runout didn’t see the two players chopping the pot. Posta received €14,000 for his seventh-place finish, as Ortega was now the chip leader with a decent margin.

Next one to bite the dust was Pavel Stribrny, who open-shoved 14 Big Blinds from the Cut-off with A10. Perez made the call from the Big Blind with AJ; being out-kicked, Stribrny was in rough shape, and as the board offered him zero consolation, he went out in sixth for €17,400. Meanwhile, Ortega had lost his chip lead but still had a decent stack to work with. He would eventually lose it all to “Kaizen”, though. After a check from Perez on the 9KQQ board, “Kaizen” bet 1,000,000, which translated to two and a half Big Blinds. Ortega made it 3,175,000 in total, and after a quick fold from Perez, “Kaizen” forced Ortega all in for 8,225,000. Ortega made the call, hoping he was ahead with Q6. That was not the case, as “Kaizen” had turned a full house with Q9. The river didn’t help Ortega, and he went to collect a €21,900 pay-check for his fifth-place finish.

With four players left, the two Germans, “Kalle” and “Kaizen,” were at the top of the chip counts, playing roughly 60 Big Blinds each. Perez was third with 29, just before Chalkiotis, who played 28. One must say that the tournament structure was sublime; still deep-stacked, anything could happen at this point. The next casualty would come as the two smaller stacks collided. Perez min-raised to 1,000,000 from the Button, and Chalkiotis defended his Big Blind. Chalkiotis checked the Q48 flop, which prompted a 1,500,000 continuation bet from Perez. Chalkiotis then completed a check-raise move to 4,250,000, and after some consideration, Perez made the call. Chalkiotis bet 5,000,000 on the 4 turn, and Perez decided to go all in for 9,525,000. Chalkiotis didn’t seem too confident, but still snap-called with KQ. Much to his pleasure, he was way ahead against the QJ of Perez. A blank river secured Chalkiotis the pot, and Perez earned himself €27,800 for finishing fourth. This saw Chalkiotis taking the chip lead with 63 Big Blinds, while “Kaizen” and “Kalle” were more or less tied with 40 Big Blinds each.

With three players left, what was arguably one of the key hands of the tournament played out. Chalkiotis clicked it to 1,000,000 on the Button, and was faced with a 4,000,000 three-bet from “Kaizen”, seated in the Big Blind. Chalkiotis decided to get frisky with his J9 holdings; he forced “Kaizen” all in for 17,550,000 in total, and the German comfortably made the call with AK. He maintained his lead on the 77Q flop, but the J saw Chalkiotis flipping the script. The 5 river sealed the deal; Chalkiotis eliminated “Kaizen” in third place (€36,200), and doing so, he secured a two-and-a-half-to-one chip lead going into the heads-up against “Kalle”.

“Kalle” managed to close the gap somewhat by taking down some smaller pots. Then, roughly 20 minutes into the heads-up, he limped 300,000 from the Button with A8. Chalkiotis made it 2,100,000 from the Big Blind with Q8, before “Kalle” four-bet to 5,000,000. Chalkiotis made the call swiftly. It’s an educated guess that all stream spectators knew they were in for fireworks as they saw the 536. Chalkiotis checked, “Kalle” continued on the aggressive path with a 3,000,000 bet, Chalkiotis made it 7,500,000, “Kalle” moved all in for 29,500,000, and Chalkiotis made the call. Chalkiotis managed to avoid any of the seven remaining clubs in the deck on the 310 runout. “Kalle” became the runner-up for €49,200, while Chalkiotis claimed the title, the trophy, and the €78,350 first-place payout.

One must admit it was kind of fitting that Chalkiotis stood at the top of the podium, considering he became a Vamos Poker Tour Team Pro. Players could become a part of the team by earning their place through the Vamos Poker Tour Annual Ranking and season results. Chalkiotis actually finished at the top of the rankings in 2025, which made him a part of the team for 2026. His ambassadorship is off to a good start, to say the least.

While Chalkiotis may have won the most prestigious tournament of the 2026 Vamos Poker Tour Rozvadov, there was a lot more action unfolding at King’s Resort during the festival. The €200 Closer was the last scheduled tournament, and it scored 144 total entries. This translated to a €24,192 prize pool, and the top 22 players were all guaranteed a €409 min-cash. When the tournament was down to its final five players, a deal was made. Germany’s Dong He took the biggest chunk, walking away with €4,198.

The 2026 Vamos Poker Tour is off to a stellar start with two events already in the books. As previously mentioned, Bucharest is the next stop. The Play GG Poker Room Bucharest will roll out the red carpet March 16-22, and the €350 Main Event will return as the flagship tournament. Only time will tell whether Chalkiotis decides to compete for the back-to-back. One thing’s for certain, though: the Vamos Poker Tour offers a unique kind of action, and the bar is set high after the Rozvadov festival. Now, it’s up to Bucharest to deliver similar thrills, a mission they’ll surely be able to pull off.
