2025 WSOP Circuit Nottingham Day 4: Three Rings Claimed as Action Returns to Dusk Till Dawn

After a couple of days of rest, the action roared back to life at the legendary Dusk Till Dawn Poker Club with Day 4 of the 2025 WSOP Circuit Nottingham. The first weekend crowned the festival’s two opening gold ring winners in Anthony Desai and Adam Sandercock, and now, three new names have joined the winner’s circle.

As always at this stop, every WSOP Circuit title comes with more than just what’s written on the payout sheet. All twelve ring winners will also spend a piece of their winter in Paradise, thanks to the $5,000 WSOP Paradise package awarded to every champion, which includes six nights at Atlantis Resort and entry into the $2,750 Mystery Bounty featuring a massive $5,000,000 guarantee.

The atmosphere inside Nottingham’s poker club is heating up fast, and Thursday brings what everyone has been waiting for: the start of the £1,500 WSOP Circuit Main Event with a £1,000,000 guarantee. poker.pro’s own Christoffer Karlén will cover the event in detail, so make sure to head over to the DTD live reporting site to catch up on all the action in the Main Event.

The biggest buy-in event on Wednesday’s schedule was the £1,500 PLO High Roller. Players showed up in force and a total of 58 entries built a prize pool of £78,300, comfortably surpassing the £50,000 guarantee.

PLO High Roller was played as a one-day event and it took nearly thirteen and a half hours, almost a full 24 levels of play, to reach a champion. The final table was essentially a bubble, with the top nine places earning at least £3,165, while a hefty £23,753 awaited the eventual winner.

In the end, it was Osman Mustanoglu who triumphed, defeating Jonathan McCann heads-up to secure the ring. Mustanoglu is no stranger on the British circuit and he also recently cashed in the poker.pro PLO456 event at PartyPoker Manchester. With this win, he edges ever closer to a major milestone as he now sits just shy of $1 million in recorded live tournament earnings.

Julian “Yoyo” Thew Wins Seniors Event

The largest field of the day came from the always-popular Seniors Event (45+). The £300 buy-in attracted 155 entries for a £41,850 prize pool, once again crushing the original £15,000 guarantee, something that we should get used to this week at Dusk Till Dawn.

The top 24 players earned at least a £590 min-cash, but all eyes were on the £9,971 top prize and the WSOP Paradise package that came with it. That honor went to Julian “Yoyo” Thew, a well-known face in the English poker community. Although Thew hasn’t been quite as active in recent years, the Nottingham-based poker player didn’t have to travel far for this one, but he made it count.

This WSOP Circuit ring win joins an already impressive poker résumé that includes EPT Baden Main Event champion in 2007, multiple GUKPT titles (first ever GUKPT triple champion), and more than $3 million in live tournament earnings.

Alexandru-Marian Grigorie Ships Turbo Event

Compared to the marathon pace of both the PLO High Roller and the Seniors event, the £300 Turbo event lived up to its name as the tournament wrapped up in a reasonable nine and a half hours.

A total of 104 entries nearly doubled the £15,000 guarantee to £28,080 and 16 players went home with money in their pockets. Some walked away with the £605 min-cash, but one walked away with a ring, a $5,000 WSOP Paradise package, and a £7,201 first-place prize.

That player was Alexandru-Marian Grigorie, who outlasted a tough final table before defeating Danish Gandhi heads-up.

It’s safe to say that Grigorie knows this room quite well and is a regular here at Dusk Till Dawn, as this marks his 27th recorded cash at Nottingham’s finest poker club. He already made a deep run in last year’s WSOP Circuit Nottingham Mini Main Event, finishing 20th out of 615 entries. This time, he went several steps further and now has a coveted WSOP Circuit ring to show for it.

With this victory, Grigorie also surpasses $50,000 in recorded live tournament earnings.
