The global poker scene features a horde of different live poker events worldwide. No matter what new events are making their appearances, there’s no denying the World Series of Poker (WSOP) always will hit different. It’s the OG of prestigious live poker series, and it’s those events that most people grew up watching on TV, dreaming of one day participating in a legendary WSOP event.
Today, the WSOP extends far beyond the United States of America. For example, there’s the upcoming 2025 WSOP Super Circuit Cyprus, which is undoubtedly one of the most exciting live poker events of the entire year. The full tournament schedule was released a couple of days ago, and it’s safe to say it looks promising. Headlined by a $5,000 Main Event with an incomprehensible $5,000,000 guarantee, there’s no doubt this will be an event to remember for years to come.
18 Rings Looking for New Owners
The 2025 WSOP Super Circuit Cyprus will be played from October 9 to 21. It’s safe to say this hyped live poker festival chose a venue fitting for kings and queens. There are few more luxurious locations for live poker than Merit Poker and the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel and Spa. Throughout the years, the venue has hosted events such as the Mediterranean Poker Tour (MPP), the European Poker Tour (EPT), Triton events, and more.

Now it’s soon time for the WSOP to touch down in Cyprus, and it’s safe to say the tournament schedule is intriguing. There are a whopping 18 WSOP Super Circuit Ring events on the schedule, meaning 18 legendary, golden rings are waiting for their new owners.
Even better? All ring winners at the 2025 WSOP Super Circuit Cyprus will also receive a $5,000 “Ticket to Paradise”, a package that includes entry into the $2,500 WSOP Paradise Championship Mystery Bounty event and travel expenses for the 2025 WSOP Paradise in the Bahamas this December.
Let’s start with the star of the show: Ring Event #12. The $5,000 Main Event offers five starting day flights, before the survivors will move on to Day 2, October 18. What makes this tournament so exciting is the bamboozling $5,000,000 guarantee, a prize pool worthy of Gods and Goddesses.
However, the menu includes much more than the Main Event. Most of the events are multi-day affairs, which makes the tournaments more prestigious. From a spectator’s perspective, few things are as thrilling to follow as high roller tournaments, and there will be a handful during the Super Circuit. Event #8: $25,000 Super High Roller PLO and Event #13: $25,000 Super High Roller NLH both feature hefty buy-ins, and without a shred of a doubt, these two tournaments will attract some of the most respectable names in the game.
Another thrilling affair will be Event 15: $5,000 Mega Mystery Bounty NLH. Mystery Bounty tournaments have seen a huge growth in population during the last five years; the feeling when pulling a bounty, hoping to cash in the big bucks, can’t be compared to anything else, and the feelings when a player claims the top prize can’t be mistaken for anything other than pure joy.

A Venue Fit for Kings and Queens
Now is a good time to mention that the upcoming Cyprus affair will, in fact, be the second-ever live WSOP Super Circuit Event. The first one was played in London in August 2023; Germany’s Tobias Schwecht then won the £3,300 Main Event for £480,000. It’s safe to say that the first-place payout – and the overall prize pool – will reach much higher numbers in Cyprus than what it did in London two years ago.
That also means that this is the first time Cyprus hosts a WSOP Super Circuit, and as previously mentioned, the venue is fitting. In fact, Merit Poker and the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel and Spa have the biggest ballrooms for poker outside of the States, meaning this will be an event of a certain magnitude.
Players who want to secure their Cyprus visit for a cheaper price can compete for packages on the GGPoker Network. The satellites are scheduled to commence on the world’s biggest poker network later this year.
