The international poker calendar is set for a spectacular start to the year as the World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) returns to one of its most cherished and exotic destinations: Marrakech, Morocco. The prestigious festival is scheduled to run for ten days, from Friday, January 16, to Sunday, January 25, 2026, held exclusively at the magnificent Casino de Marrakech, located within the luxurious Es Saadi Marrakech Resort.
Marrakech, known globally as “The Red City,” offers a stunning blend of ancient culture and modern luxury, creating a unique backdrop for a major poker tournament. With its bustling souks, serene gardens, and vibrant nightlife, the city provides an unforgettable experience for players looking to mix high-stakes poker with an enriching holiday.
Chasing the Ring in the Main Event
The centerpiece of the entire festival is the WSOPC Main Event, where players compete for the coveted gold ring and a massive top prize.
The 2026 Main Event features a buy-in of 16,000 MAD (approximately €1,500) and offers three distinct starting flights:
- Day 1A: Thursday, January 22
- Day 1B: Friday, January 23
- Day 1C Turbo: Friday, January 23 (a faster structure for those needing a final shot)
Players start with a generous 50,000 chips and compete through long 40-minute levels on Days 1A and 1B, with late registration open until the end of Level 12. The champion will be crowned on Sunday, January 25.

The bar for the 2026 event is set incredibly high by the 2025 performance. The 2025 WSOPC Marrakech Main Event proved to be a record-breaker, drawing an enormous field of 1,523 entries and generating a prize pool of approximately €1,877,955 (19,421,500 MAD). The eventual champion was Justin Tsui from Hong Kong, who captured the ring and a massive top prize of €261,900 (2,700,000 MAD).
