WSOP Circuit Nottingham Day 8: Adam Sandercock Wins Second Gold Ring

Adam Sandercock

The 2025 WSOP Circuit Nottingham delivered tons of thrills and emotions, along with many new champions, with the biggest yet to come.

Most players dream of the moment they win a coveted WSOP Circuit gold ring. Adam Sandercock accomplished the unthinkable by winning his second ring this festival with a victory in the £560 bounty for a total haul of £10,160, including £2,750 in bounties. Sandercock’s first ring this festival came in the £300 NLH 6-Max last Sunday for £9,964.

The three-day 2025 WSOP Circuit Nottingham £1,500 already surpassed its lofty £1 million guarantee with already 754 runners in the mix during the first four opening flights, with 116 players already in the money to start Sunday’s Day 2 at 3 p.m. with one more turbo flight still to come at 10 a.m. Sunday morning.

Check out the action in the Main Event as it unfolds at the Dusk Till Dawn website, headlined by poker.pro live reporter Christoffer Karlen reporting the action in partnership with Dusk Till Dawn.

Thus far, Robert Mcadam is the only chip millionaire and leads the way with 1,612,000 in chips. Despite the big lead, it is anyone’s game as there is still a long way to go with two more days of intense action.

Sandercock Defeats Marchington to Earn Second WSOP Circuit Ring in £560 Bounty

The £560 Bounty attracted 93 entries, creating £64,500 in prizes, including £32,250 in the prize pool, and the same amount available for players to collect as bounties.

After Michael Obrien hit the rail in third place for £3,355 plus another £1,500 in bounties for a total haul of £4,855, the winner was guaranteed to make headlines, with Adam Sandercock, already with a ring under his belt this festival, facing off against the formidable Nicholas Marchington.

Marchington was one of the stars on poker’s biggest stage, the WSOP $10,000 Main Event in 2019 before bowing out in seventh place for $1,525,000. He had another final table three years later at the 2022 WSOP $1,500 Millionaire Maker, where he finished ninth for $108,704. Last summer, Marchington had his first taste at a WSOP Circuit final table when he took ninth place in the 2024 WSOP Circuit Las Vegas $1,700 Main Event for $17,838.

Meanwhile, Sandercock came into this event as a dark horse with only three cashes, each boasting three digits, on his The Hendon Mob profile. Sandercock denied the experienced veteran his first taste at WSOP gold and earned his second WSOP ring in less than a week after defeating Marchington heads-up to win £7,410 from the prize pool in addition to £2,750 in bounties for a total haul of £10,660.

While Marchington was unable to secure a victory, he did pass another milestone as he will have more than $3.4 million in results at The Hendon Mob thanks to his £6,660 haul, which included the runner-up prize of £4,910 plus £1,750 in bounties.
