Friday’s action at the 2025 World Series of Poker, hosted by Horseshoe & Paris, Las Vegas, saw more deep Canadian runs and cashes. Lawrence Rabie is just seven players away from Canada’s 3rd bracelet so far this year in the Seniors, but he’ll be one of the smaller stacks returning for what should be the final day of play on Saturday.
Alex Livingston, who has been one of Canada’s serial cashers this year, notched another one in the $10k HORSE Championship with his deepest run so far, and Stephen Dauphinais is looking to repeat his 2024 deep run in the Millionaire Maker as he bagged Canada’s second-biggest stack from Day 1c.
Rabie in the Final Seven of Seniors

In 2023, Albertan Lonnie Hallett ran his way all the way up to the bracelet in the Seniors event for his biggest score ever. This year, there’s every chance that same bracelet could return to Canada, this time in the hands of Ontario’s Lawrence Rabie.
With 4 days of play in the books already, there are seven players still left with chips. Rabie is coming back as one of the shorter stacks in 6th place, but he will be playing more 7 million chips to start Day 5, good for 16 bigs to start the final day.
He’ll have his work cut out, however. Table leaders Dennis Carlson and Brett Lim have almost 190 big blinds between them with only about 300 bigs total in play. Rabie already has his biggest-ever score wrapped up in this one as he’s guaranteed $110,581 on the final day. Given that his Hendon Mob before the game showed a lifetime total of just $103,612, no matter what happens on the final day, Rabie is set to more than double his current earnings in a single game.
Livingston Goes Deep

Alex Livingston is one of a few Canadians who seem to be cashing everything they touch. While most of Livingston’s cashes so far have been pretty modest cashes in the mid-field, he’s just notched a big score in the $10k HORSE Championship.
He found his way to the final table of the 5-game mix rotation, and in the process, booked his 8th WSOP cash of the summer (and 9th cash in total, including an 11th place over at the Wynn) and his biggest one so far in 2025. In the end, Livingston bowed out in 6th place for a prize of $76,581, finishing ahead of crushers like Scott Seiver, John Hennigan, Todd Brunson, and Matt Grapenthien.
The score should push his Hendon Mob earnings over $9.6 million.
Dauphinais Does it Again?

Last year, Edmontonian Stephen Dauphinais booked the biggest score of his career with 3rd place in the Millionaire Maker. This year, it looks like he’s trying to do a repeat of his deep run. He bagged Canada’s second-biggest stack from the 3rd starting flight to this year’s Milly, with 168.5k for Day 2. He’s trailing Edgard Saliba, the top Canadian bag with 187.5k, with a total of 26 Canadian bags in the mix. Ari Engel is one of the shorter Canadian stacks from 1c, meaning the Milly could mark his 600th WSOP cash if he has a decent day 2 and spins it up.
