Team Mitch Heidt/Keith Stick Win the Tag Team ($2,530)

Team Team Mitch Heidt/Keith Stick put on an outstanding performance to win Event #15: $220 Tag Team. This is Heidt’s second trophy in the event, as the pair bested the 31 player field. They combined for a prize pool of $5,890 with Heidt and Stick receiving the lion share of $2,530. Early in the night, they found a double elimination to soar to the top of the chip counts.

Team Campbell/Armstrong found a double, but couldn’t hold falling to Spencer’s big slick.

Iwanicki was a non-believer and moved all in for nearly 300,000. Heidt snap-called revealing pocket aces. The board offered no sweat with Team Iwanicki/Spencer drawing dead on the turn.

  • Team Game for Saturday Night

    Date:Nov 29, 6 PM
    Blinds:20 Minutes
    Starting Stack:20k
    Late Entry:9 Levels (~9:15 PM)
    Day 1 Ends:One-Day Event

Saturday marks the penultimate day for the final PPT of 2025 and, as usual, the evening side game is the Team Event. This game is nearly always more about the party and the drinking than it is about the poker, though poker does play a part in the evening.

Teams get 20k to start their game, and entries or rebuys are open for the first 9 levels of play. With 20-minute blinds, that should put the close of entries at about 9:15 PM tonight. After that, they’ll play until one team has all the chips.

Teams consist of two players, and players must swap out after each level. Each team gets 5 switch cards to start the game, and those cards can be used to either swap your own team out, or force another team at your table to switch (bear in mind, they could immediately use one of their tickets to switch back again). Switches can only be played between hands.

Brendan Harder & Derek Samer, Winners of the Team Event

In September’s event, it was the team of Bredan Harder and Derek Samer who took down the game. They defeated a field of 34 teams for a top prize of $2,780, winning it over Team York, composed of brothers Skyler and Zach York.

Alek Gillies will be in the house to cover the Team game tonight.
