  • Kris Steinbach Annihilates the Field to Win Event #6: $560 Big Bounty; Malm & Meach Chop the Remaining Prize ($9,207)

Kris Steinbach Takes Down Event #6: $560 NLH Big Bounty

After nearly twelve hours of play, Kris Steinbach has emerged the victor of Event #6: $560 NLH Big Bounty. He bested the 123 player field in dominant fashion picking up 12 bounties along the way. The field combined for a prize pool of $58,425 ($33,825 prizes, $24,600 bounties). Rounding out the podium positions are Mike Malm and Welly Meach who each took home $5,236 for their efforts.

To say Steinbach’s run was dominant would be an understatement. After his exit from the Day 2 $670 NLH, Steinbach max late registered the big bounty hoping to find some luck. He absolutely tore through the early stages of the field, picking up bounties and pots along the way.

With thirteen players left, he held a third of the chips in play. Once play entered the final table, Steinbach had 1,200,000 chips and never looked back. He found five of the six final table eliminations sitting with over eighty percent of the chips in play three-handed. Malm and Meach made a deal splitting second and third along with one bounty giving Steinbach the other bounty, along with the trophy
