Entries are closed on Day 1b of the Main Event, with the final 1b field at 256 entries. That puts the combined entries just shy of 460, for prizes of more than $940k so far.
That means they’ll hit the money spots today at 39 players, then play down to 26, or the end of Level 17, whichever comes first. As a reminder, players must be in the money for the bags to come out, so if there are still more than 39 players alive at the end of 17 levels, they’ll keep dealing until the field hits 39. Yesterday’s opening flight played the distance, finally getting into the money (and busting three players at the end) right at the end of Level 17.
Tomorrow’s final flight should get at least 300-400 entries, but given that it’s the final shot, and more than a few players were interested in the PLO game tonight, it could easily hit 500 or more.
