Day 1 Ends: | One-Day Event |
It’s four-card day on the Pure Poker Tour, as the $450 PLO is the main game on Thursday. The action gets going at 1 PM, and players will get 30k in chips for their $450 buy-in.
There are 8 levels of late entry, putting the end of registration at about 5:45 PM. This is a one-day event, so there will be no bags, and the winner will be crowned before it’s over.
Alek Gillies will be taking over the reporting duties for Thursday, while I take a personal day, and he should be on task by the first break.

Back in July, it was Jerry Li who took down this event over 84 entries. Li has both a ring and a bracelet in PLO, so he clearly understands his four-card poker. I haven’t seen Li at this series yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him show up to defend his title. Either way, expect this to be a serious field of local Omaha talent like Martin Riley, Stefan Maloney, Tony & Ryan Comely, Skyler York, Bobby Rutledge, Paul Brar, Zeyu Huang, and Leo Zhang, with an almost endless list of other names I could add.
