The 2026 Spring Super Stack at Deerfoot Inn & Casino is ready to roll. Live satellites for the series kick off on Tuesday, Apr 7, with two qualifier games at 2 and 6 PM, with the series proper starting at 11 AM on Wednesday morning with the Seniors game.
The Seniors game, which is restricted to players aged 50 or over, is the traditional series-starter here at Super Stack events. and despite the restricted field is still generally among the higher single-day fields of the entire series. Both the Spring & Summer Super Stacks in 2025 saw more than 170 entries for this one, and I expect this series to be in the same ballpark.
Players get 25k in chips for their $340, with $300 of that going to the prizes (minus 5% for AGLC charity & staff). Blind levels are 30 minutes long throughout the game, with 8 levels of open entry to start. That should put the last chance to enter the game at about 3:30 PM after the break following Level 8. The one-day game is expected to finish with no bags and a winner awarded sometime early Thursday morning.

In the 2025 Summer Super Stack, Graham Lupton came through for the win over 171 entries, and he dedicated the win to his recently departed dog. Meanwhile, in the Spring series last year, Russ King and Gary Hellard chopped up the top two Seniors spots over a field of 173.
