The 2025 Pure Poker Tour (PPT) is coming to a close, but there are still 16 more chances to bag the fresh 2025 trophy design. The first chance is open only to players 50 or above, with the traditional Seniors First opening day game.
As usual, the Seniors game is the earliest start of the whole week, with the opening hands being dealt at noon on Thursday, Nov 20. That will kick off 8 30-minute levels of late entry, with the final chance to buy-in coming at around 5 pm, at the conclusion of the dinner break following Level 8.
Once entries close after dinner, they’ll play down to the trophy before they shut down for the night, with 10% of the field cashing. In PPT #4 in Sept, Leo Brouwer & Lynne Stephenson chopped the top two prizes from a 122-player pool totalling $34,770.
Alek Gillies will be behind the keyboard for the opening few days of this series, as I will be in Montreal until Monday. I’ll be taking over reporting duties on Tuesday, Nov 25, but until then, Alek will be behind the controls of the coverage.
