What makes the €150 Hendon Mob Championship (THMC) stand out is the abnormally large guarantee in relation to the low buy-in. A €300,000 guarantee in a €150 tournament is beyond rare, and it’s quite the ambitious idea between Martin “Franke” von Zweigbergk (founder of The Festival) and Roland Boothby (Head of Partnerships at The Hendon Mob).
The collaboration between The Festival and The Hendon Mob is a few years in the making, and this is the eighth THMC tournament during a The Festival event. The guarantee is larger than ever before, and the buy-in has been lowered from €250 to €150.
These parameters make this tournament one for the ages, and it’s no wonder more than 200 players are already battling it out in Day 1c – not even one hour into the tournament.
