When it was determined that a PartyPoker Tour stop would be in Glasgow, the Alea Casino was the obvious choice. The Clyde River is near the aesthetic casino, which offers an excellent venue for a top-notch live poker event.

The Alea Casino hosted the 2025 Glasgow Poker Festival in March (part of the Irish Poker Tour). Irishman Andrew Toole won the £400 Main Event for £53,000, and with that cash alone, he’s number one on the venue rankings for the casino on The Hendon Mob.

That being said, the liver poker scene is alive and well in Glasgow, and the Alea Casino is the epicenter of all the fun. They have self-dealt tournaments all the days of the week; In fact, this reporter participated in the £35 Monday Deepstack the other day, and finished ninth out of roughly 200 entries. The casino also offer cash games with certified dealers.

After the 2025 PartyPoker Tour Glasgow, the next bigger live event at the Alea Casino will be the September Series, running September 1-7. The highlight will be a £110 Main Event with a £15,000, but the tournament schedule features a variety of interesting tournaments, such as the £75 Mystery Bounty.

There’s no question about it; Alea Casino is a great venue, and hopefully, they’ll host prestigious live poker events for years to come.
