Bwin streamer Aleksandar Georgiev proved that he is more than a one-trick pony online and managed to bag the overall chip lead on the first of the four opening flights of the PartyPoker Tour UK London £500 Main Event at Aspers Casino Westfield Stratford City after parlaying his 50,000 opening stack into 526,500 in chips.
Haydn Dickinson (492,000), Razvan Dolcan (366,500), Jamie Kingston (342,000), and Georgian Gavriluc (329,000) also cracked the top five on Day 1a which boasted 168 entries with 37 players finding a bag into Day 2.
Former Aspers Casino Poker Manager Paul Moyce was in the mix and bagged up a slightly more than average stack of 221,000, while poker legend and The Hendon Mob co-founder Joe Beevers (163,000) and 2023 partypoker MILLIONS Dublin champion Michel Molenaar (146,000) also found their way to Day 2 in hopes of a title.
