Seated on the Button, Algirdas Saveikis attempted to limp the 125,000 Big Blind. Rasmus Sihvonen wouldn’t allow it; he raised to 375,000, and Saveikis decided to make the call.
Sihvonen was the first to act on the 6♣7♣10♦ flop and elected to check. Saveikis bet 425,000, and Sihvonen made the call. Sihvonen checked again on the 5♦ turn, and Saveikis now moved all in for roughly 2,000,000, having Sihvonen called by the smallest of margins. Sihvonen made the call without a shred of hesitation.
Algirdas Saveikis: 10♥9♠
Rasmus Sihvonen: 10♠10♣
Saveikis was drawing to a straight and a straight only, but the J♠ river wasn’t one of his requested outs. Considering both players were more or less completely even before the hand, Saveikis was now left with 225,000. He was forced all in the next hand in the Big Blind, and he managed to double up with A♦J♦ against Sihvonen’s 5♠3♦ as the board spelled out 9♣4♦K♣10♦8♠.
Saveikis folded the following hand, and when he was Big Blind again, he was forced all in for 225,000, excluding his Ante. Saveikis made the call.
Algirdas Saveikis: J♦6♣
Rasmus Sihvonen: A♠Q♠
Both players improved to a pair on the 3♣A♦6♠ flop. Sihvonen hit two-pair on the Q♥ turn, and Saveikis was drawing very slim. No trips on the 2♠, and as such, Saveikis was eliminated in second place for €14,910.
Rasmus Sihvonen: 5,370,000
Algirdas Saveikis: 0
