After nearly 7 hours of play, Antonio Ma has bested the rest to take home his first PPT trophy. Him and Larry Quon made a deal with Quon receiving $150 extra to push his finish up to $10,000. Ma got the lion share $16,620 of the $30,780 total prize pool. Michael Bernstein was the other cashing player earning himself $4,160 and outlasting the rest of the 18 player field.
Ma had a dominant final table picking up the chip lead and never looking back. He used measured aggression to steal chips and call off all ins with great success. Bubble play slowed down with multiple players finding tournament saving doubles. However, Weston Pring would fall short to leave the previously mentioned players to collect their split of the prize pool. At that point Ma had over 80% of the chips in play.
Immediately following this elimination and subsequent 30 minute break, Bernstein got sent home running his King-Jack into Ma’s suited Ace-Ten. Both Larry Quon and Antonio Ma agreed to chop and the tournament was went from the bubble to over in rapid succession.
