Simon Hesserud Persson opened to 1,000,000 from the Button. Corne Scheel then moved all in from the Small Blind for 11,200,000. Then, Nicolai Austad decided to go for it; he moved all in for 6,150,000 from the Big Blind. Hesserud Persson got out of the way, and the players turned over their cards.
Corne Scheel: 6♣6♥
Nicolai Austad: A♣J♣
“Sweaty,” Scheel declared as the dealer dealt the K♥10♥7♦ flop. Austad then took a solid lead as he improved to a straight on the Q♥ river, but Scheel picked up a flush draw. The Dutchman wasn’t able to improve though, as the river bricked out for him in the form of the 3♣. Such, Austad doubled up.
Nicolai Austad: 12,300,000
Corne Scheel: 5,050,000
