Claire Leclerc just picked up her first Circuit ring at the end of the Black Chip Bounty tonight. The Manitoba player was joined at the final table by her husband, Leo Leclerc, who ended his run in 8th, then moved to the rail to cheer on his wife. She also had fellow Manitoban and ring winner Dylan Ellis on the rail tonight.

She was short through much of the final table, and got to heads up against double ring winner Graham Lupton with about a 3:1 deficit. Lupton held the lead for most of HU, but the script flipped when Leclerc slow-played aces, flopped a boat with trip threes on the flop, then extracted 1.1million of value on the river to leave Lupton short.

A few hands later, he shoved his button, but Leclerc woke up with an ace and called it off. Lupton was suited and paired on the flop, but Leclerc also hit her ace for the bigger pair. Nothing else changed after the flop, and Leclerc took down the game. She had just under $100k in lifetime earnings on Hendon Mob prior to this game, so the result tonight should push her to $115/$120k depending on the exchange rate at the time.
