Day 1b is complete, and it took almost exactly the same amount of time as Day 1a. After a bit more than 18 levels of play, 23 players found bags from 1b.
The biggest of the day, and the biggest overall, is Cody Richardson. He surged throughout the day, sitting behind a big stack nearly every time I looked, but he turned it up to 11 in the endgame, finishing with 918k. That’s about 250k more than Day 1a leader Eric Wasylenko, but Richardson isn’t the only one Wasy will have to look up to on Day 2, as Edmonton’s Zhi Jiang bagged more than 700k and is nearly 100k ahead of the 1a stacks.
Homan Mohammadi is also sitting with chips for Day 2. He has literally cashed every game he’s touched in the Summer Superstack since he arrived on Tuesday, and he’ll bring 508k into his third cash in three games. Colten Yamagishi and Ben Locker round out the top five from 1b with stacks in the 400s.
See below for the full stacks from 1b, and stay tuned for a Day 2 opening post that includes seat assignments.
