Day 1b for the Deepstack is on Deck

Date:Aug 1, 2 PM
Blinds:30 Minutes
Starting Stack:25k
Late Entry:11 Levels (~8:45 PM)
Day 1 Ends:10% of the Field

There is already one flight to Day 2 of the Deepstack on the tarmac with 13 players making their way through the day. Players will have another shot at a Day 2 bag on Friday in Day 1b, and they’ll all be chasing the 1a leader, Giulio Rosati. Rosati woke up with kings to burst the 1a bubble and take the chip lead over 2nd place Curtis Singleton, who had some luck of his own, catching a set of deuces to take a big pot and send Patricia Kananda home a few places off the end of the day.

Day 1b will be a repeat of 1a, though the expectation is always that the flights get bigger and bigger. Players still start with 25k in chips for 30-minute levels. Entries are open for almost 7 hours, with the desk shutting down at the start of Level 12, or about 8:45 PM. While the structure says Day 1 ends at the end of Level 16, they are actually playing down to 10% of the field no matter how long it takes, to ensure all Day 2 players are in the money.

I should on-task for this one pretty close to the start of play, and it will be my main focus until the bag up around midnight.
