Prizes:€238,075

Okay, ladies and gentlemen, things are about to get real. It’s the penultimate day of 2026 PartyPoker Tour Madrid, and Day 2 of the prestigious €500 Main Event.

Day 1d (which was a hyper turbo) was the fourth and final chance for players to get into Day 2. Said flight wrapped up about one hour ago, sending another 20 players into Day 2 (Day 1d scored 63 entries in total). All and all, this is the biggest-ever Main Event during the PartyPoker Tour’s one-and-a-half-year-long history, with a whopping 535 entries. The prize pool reads €238,075; it’s safe to say PartyPoker made quick work of the €100,000 guarantee.

The Day 2 contestants are not yet in the money; it’s going to be a very exciting first levels today. The clock has rolled back to Level 12 with Blinds 1,500/3,000, which is something the shorter stacks should appriciate. Mikel Alonso is the current chip leader with 665,000, but it won’t be a walk in the park. PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Daniel Garcia is fourth with 552,000; other ambassadors still in the mix are Glenn Brown, Natalie Bromley, Barny Boatman, and Niall “Firaldo” Farrell. PartyPoker Team Pro Jaime Staples is also still in the mix, as is the case with 2025 PartyPoker Tour Manchester £500 Main Event winner Deniz Orhan, 2025 PartyPoker Tour London (Winter Edition) £500 Main Event winner Thomas Sanderson, and 2025 PartyPoker Tour Leaderboard winner Alexander “Wishiper96” Georgiev.

Day 2 will kick off in roughly 30 minutes; it’s going to be a heck of a show, and poker.pro Christoffer Karlén is on-site at Casino Gran Via, ready to cover every knook and cranny of today’s action.
