The bags are in for Day 1a, and Kristopher Di Leone bagged the biggest with 522.5k. Bogdan Szafranowicz has the second biggest 1a stack with 367.5k, while Amir Khan rounds out the top three with a bit more than 300k. Maru Somers, who led for much of the day, had a rough final few levels after her aces were cracked by Mohsen Shafazideh. She managed to survive and bagged 185k for Day 2.
Day 1a went for nearly 18 full levels before they finally ended the night, with hand-for-hand play going on for almost all of Level 18. The final blinds were 5k/10k/10k, but Day 2 will roll back the blinds to the earliest finishing flight, and it seems reasonable to expect that at least one of the flights will bag up before Level 18.
