The bubble has burst in the €200 Mini Main Event, and the remaining 109 players are now all in the money. This means that the live reporting will now focus on the Mini Main Event until a winner is crowned; expect more frequent updates, including but not limited to crucial hands.

It all went down in dramatic fashion. Action folded to Alger Avi on the Button, who opened to 17,000 on Blinds 4,000/8,000. Linas Bulksas then three-bet to 60,000 from the Small Blind, before Toomas Mäkikokko moved all in for 196,000 from the Big Blind. Action back to Avi, who re-shoved for 379,000. As if things couldn’t get any crazier, Bulksas committed his 334,000 stack to make the call. Three-way to the flop then, with Avi having both his opponents covered.

Toomas Mäkikokko: AK
Alger Avi: AK
Linas Bulksas: JJ

What a sick hand. Bulksas must’ve been pleased to see that his two opponents were blocking each other. Bulksas maintained his lead on the 710Q flop, but he wasn’t too excited over the K river. No help for Bulksas on the Q river; this resulted in him becoming the unfortunate bubble boy, while Mäkikokko and Avi both improved their stacks.

Alger Avi: 668,000
Toomas Mäkikokko: 260,000
Linas Bulksas: 0

Before hand-for-hand play commenced, there was still an ongoing situation at Table 17. Jerry Johannesson limped the 8,000 Big Blind from the Hi-jack. Kasperi Pitkäangas made the call from the Cut-off, and so did Sakari Setälä from the Small Blind. Seated in the Big Blind, Dainis Sibirjanovs was already forced all in, as he only played 6,000, three-quarters of a Big Blind.

All three players checked the J88 flop, and the action repeated itself on the J turn. Setälä bet 12,000 on the 2 river, and his competitors folded their hands. Eventually, it was time for Setälä and Sibirjanovs to table their holdings.

Dainis Sibirjanovs: J2
Sakari Setälä: J6

Sibirjanovs had not looked at his hand; it’s an educated guess that he didn’t have high hopes when he saw Setälä’s hand. When he turned over his hole cards and saw that he too had a full house, players and spectators were flabbergasted, as they shared a laugh. Sibirjanovs’ reaction could not be mistaken for anything other than pure joy, as he survived the bubble in the most improbable fashion.

Sakari setälä: 172,000
Dainis Sibirjanovs: 12,000
